Everest Helicopter Tour is tailored to offer the best aerial view of the Everest Region which includes the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest (8,848m). The tour unfolds various landscape, culture, and ecosystem en route to the Everest Base Camp with a breakfast break at Syangboche. Both the Everest Base Camp and Syangboche offer amazing view of the Himalayas. You will get to Everest Base Camp and back in a matter of few hours while enjoying the entire aspects of trekking in the Everest region.

The Everest Helicopter Tour begins at the historical city of Kathmandu. The tour begins early next morning with a short ride to Tribhuvan International Airport. You will begin your helicopter ride from there along with your colleagues and guide. You will briefly land at Lukla to refuel your ride before flying higher towards the Himalaya. The journey from here until will gradually advance above the Everest Region. You will fly above Namche Bazaar and head east towards Gokyo Lakes and Ngozumpa Glacier before heading straight to Everest Base Camp.

You will fly close to the campsite and Khumbu Glacier before landing at the Everest Base Camp. Here, you can enjoy the local weather, take photos, and relish the beautiful sights of the Everest, Lhotse (8,414m), Nuptse (7,861m), Pumo Ri (7,165m), and Khumbu Icefalls. Next, you will fly down to Syangboche village for breakfast. At Syangboche, you can enjoy local breakfast while overlooking the majestic mountains of, yet again, Mount Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,414m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Thamserku (6,608 m), and Nuptse (7,861m). Helicopter Tour to Everest Base Camp remains accessible throughout the year but does require good weather.

  • Day 01: Enjoy Heli Flight

    Transfer to Airport

    You will wake up early morning and drive to the Tribhuvan International Airport. The flight is usually scheduled early morning as the skies remain clear. Once at the airport, get onboard with your colleagues and guide. The Helicopter will take off and head northeast towards Solukhumbu. Along the way, you will get aerial views of Kathmandu City. As you fly over the city full of houses, people, and temples, you will shortly join the company of the esteemed Himalayas. You will briefly land at Lukla Domestic Airport for refueling.

    Layover at Lukla (5-10 minutes) and Fly to EBC-

    Along the way, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of glacial rivers, ethnic Sherpa settlements, Buddhist monasteries, and lush rhododendron and alpine forests. You will fly directly to Everest Base Camp along the Khumbu Glacier, Khumbu Icefall, and the Everest summit (8,848m). You will a briefly land at base camp and have the opportunity to enjoy the majestic panorama of the Himalayas. After exploring the Everest Base Camp vicinity, you will fly down to Syangboche village.

    Breakfast at Syangboche (30-40 minutes) / Fly to Kathmandu

    You will stop at Syangboche (3,841m) for breakfast. You will be having your breakfast in one of the highest altitudes in the world. Prominent peaks visible from here are the Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,414m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Thamserku (6,608m), and Nuptse (7,861m). After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the Everest region and fly back to Kathmandu. You can enjoy the aerial view of some of the popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu before landing at Tribhuvan International Airport.
