The 11-day trek begins upon your arrival in Kathmandu. The trek destinations lie 20km north of Pokhara, hence, you’ll take a short commute to Kande village and commence trekking through the quaint villages in the Annapurna region. You’ll pass through Australian Base Camp, Deurali, Low Camp, and High Camp before reaching the Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m). Although considered the base camp, you can choose to trek 2hr further to reach the Upper View Point. From there you will enjoy the closer view of the scenic Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre (6997m), and Mardi Himal summit (5553m).
Afterward, it’s a continuous descent through the alpine shrubs, and lush Bamboo and Rhododendron forests until Lumre. Then, you’ll retrace your path and trek back through High Camp to Siding village. You’ll descent along the Kalimati and Ghalel villages en route to Lumre; from where you’ll catch your commute back to Pokhara. The trip concedes at Kathmandu upon your return from Pokhara. Afterward, you’ll make a descent to the village of Tadapani. The trail continues to the traditional village of Ghandruk before dropping towards Nayapul. The ethnic village Ghandruk is mostly inhabited by the Gurung tribe of people and also serves as the headquarters of the Annapurna Conservation Area. A short hike down the stone-steps and the rugged trail will bring you back to Nayapul. You’ll catch a commute back to Pokhara, and drive back to Kathmandu.
