Lukla serves as the gateway to the Everest region. You will begin trekking at Lukla and gradually advance along the Dudh Koshi Valley. Sagarmatha National Park covers almost the entire trail. You will enter the park at Monjo and trek along the alpine forests to reach Namche Bazaar. Namche is the largest Sherpa village in the entire region. You will trek through Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakshep en route to Everest Base Camp.

The campsite lies close to Khumbu Glacier from where Everest climbers begin their ascent of the peak. To catch the pristine sight of Mount Everest (8848m), you will have to hike all the way to Kalapatthar. From Kalapatthar (5,545m), you will take a helicopter back to Kathmandu.
